Olympos Gorge

Mount Olympus is the highest mountain in Greece, rising to 9,570 ft

 It is located at Macedonia, about 62 miles away from Thessaloniki city. Mount Olympus was regarded the home to the Twelve Olympian Gods of Greek mythology.


Olympos Gorge is noted for its very rich flora with more than 1.700 plant species

 It is a Greek National Park and a World's Biosphere Reserve. 

It is a relatively easy gorge to cross. The main village of Litohoro is connected by bus from Athens and Thessaloniki.
