Mount Vermio lies between the Imathia Regional Unit and the Kozani Regional Unit (Central Macedonia Region).
Seli Gorge is located very close to Seli village in Kato Vermio area. It is a realtively narrow canyon, about 5km long.
It is also named as “Tripa tou Michali” (Michael’s Hole) because at its entrance lies a cave where according to rumors a sheep breeder named Michael lost his flock.
Mount Vermio is also the site of ski resorts Seli and Tria Pente Pigadia.
