The gorge of Kleisoura is located just 15 km away from Agrinio which is the largest city of the Aetolia-Acarnania regional unit.
The gorge is easy to reach since it is crossed by the national road of "Antirrio-Agrinio".
The impressive monastery of "Panaghia Eleousa" is carved in a rock on the gorge's limestone walls.
The gorge is rounded with mountains and when it rains it becomes dangerous to cross.
